Genti, Slain 1973 Journal Tilden Regional Park, Contra Costa Co. Calif. Oct. 29. After lunch went up Laurel Canyon to Junction with Pine Tree Trail, followed latter back to loop Rd., returning via Little Farm. We saw many Warblers and Kinglets foraging on the Boardwalk section of P.L.R.T. Saw a Mystery Warbler feeding on a small dark fruit. A Madrone whist. I saw Allen and Rufous Hummingbirds visiting in February of this year had set a full cup of fruit (about 100 yds up Back Rat Trail from N.A.G.). Few Toake's visible . Chestnut backed Chickadees were flocking, around in coyns. Species seen: Mallard Wood Duck (107) Red Tailed Hawk Steller Jay 5 cubs-Jay California Quail 6 Common Night's Chestnut bodied Chickadee Varied Thrush and (1) Red-winged blackbird at Stratton Pond. Golden-crowned Kinglet Ruby crowned Kinglet Townsend's Warbler Mystery warbler Oregon juncos Brown Towhee Golden rumped Sparrow Fox Sparrow Red-shafted Flicker
