Guti, Blair 1973 Journal Green Creek, 2000 ft., Kouchi Mts., Nye Co., Nev. gophers and nothing else. Will save these. Saw side-whatched 1/2 and here. March Pion - Juniper wood(land) mixed with sage around pretty weak on, lined with willows, sage on slopes as well. Many flies, no mosquitos. Saw Red-shafted Flickers, Mountain Bluebirds (flycatching), Band-Tailed Pigeon, Bew.ct 3 Wren, White Crowned Sparrow. Saw 3 possums I couldn't identify. Heard an owl giving u 2 or 3 note call last night. Made evidence of horses, cattle around the area. Left about 11:00 Am for Next locality. 2 mi. W. Railroad Pass, Lander Co., Nev. Left at 11:00 Am for Smith Creek Valley, same ok above locality. We stopped in Tonopah for supplies and gas, had lunch in the city park. Then proceeded on Rt. 8A for Austin. From Austin, went W. on SR 2 over Railroad pass, thence due W. on a dirt road to the E. edge of the valley. We stopped at the sandy area about 5:30 PM, and set out traps, 36 on the N. side, 64 on the south side. Most traps were set near humew entrances. The night
