Lenti, Fla. 1973 July 26 Journal 5 mi NW Skookum, White Pine Co, Nev. follows: 1 Dipadonys microzo, taken from the only active looking human complex on Rl hill slope west of the hwy, where atripex predominates, affected heavily grazed by sheep; 4 Bongrus sp., 2 Prognathus longimolus, 2 P. sp. 1 Onychonyx. We continued south on SR 93, leaving about 8:30 AM. We got gas in Caliente, then stopped at Ash Springs and filled up again, hence turning NE west on SR 25. We drove into Popper Valley - AKA Sand Springs Valley to the site tropped by me some 3 years past. The road to the dry lake is marked by the same parked Semi-Trailer, with a warning sign "FBI" will investigate disturbance"! This road leads NE for about 2 miles, then you may leave the road and drive across the Lake Bed, see map: Powells Dry Lake ? N
