May 28 Crescent Ditch State Park, Mendocino Co., Calif.
I found that the trail ascended west-
ward halfway to the ocean, then dropped
from suddenly to emerge from the
Dense redwood, Douglas Fir, and Sequoia
to the creek which runs through the
bottom of the canyon. The trail ended
at its westernmost point just below i.e.
camp. After dinner (we)
returned from our hike at 6:05 PM) we
Cord a trapline of 23 traps west of camp
in the same habitat as that of preceding night.
The weather today was pleasant, warm, but
slightly clouded and misty at 10:00.
Then it cleared rapidly for the after-
noon.
