May 26 Russian Yulek State Park, Mendo Co., Calz
which ate the first wood rat. The mature
female was found 10 ft. from the same
nest. The 2 nests were found almost
directly opposite each other on opposite
sides of the road. Viola put up the mi-
mates of Woodrat, 2 Peromyscus with
the Sorey pacificus. I put up the 9 wood
rat, 1 Peromyscus and the Sorey vagran.
May 27 Russian Yulek State Park, Mendo Co., Califclev 20 ft
of 5 rat traps set on preceding night on pine
south west margin of park
trees, 200 ft elevation. I had a wood rat in it,
1 was sprung, and 1 had a Peromyscus
maniculatus in it. The latter trap
was set where we had found the re-
mainis of a dusty-fur'ded Wood Rat on
the preceding morning. The second
Trap - wut no catch, was set where we
had caught the immature and mature

of Wood rats on May 26. We had set a
trap further along the old, overgrown
front or road on the point canyon
where lies the state park. This Trap con-
tained a g wood rat. He set some mouse
traps - Museum Specials along the
road also; but caught nothing. He had
set the rest of our 23 mouse traps
