May 31 Cedar Grove, S. Fork Kings R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif.
Set 15 Museum Special Mouse Traps along West Fork Sheep Creek just above bridge near junction of Fork and S. Fork Kings R. Caught 1 Cerronymys maniculatus - premature - in trap set beneath fallen log, on south side of stream, 20 ft. from water. Also got 2 Cerr-
June 2 Mr. Cedar Grove, S. Fork Kings R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif.
Set 18 Museum Special Mouse Traps west of Sheep Creek Campground along a dirt road and a trail, on the south bank of Kings R. 15 traps were set on margin of stream. 1st one was set at base of Sugar Pine, 5 ft. from water. Caught (12) ♂ Cerronymys with 13 mm. Ticks. 8th trap set along margin of stream was beneath a fallen log, near Incense Cedar and a huge rock, 5 ft. from here Caught (12) ♀ with 40s. mommac. Or maniculatus. Stream, 20 ft. from the water, and above the trail, I set another trap beneath a small Golden Oak, near Sugar Pine and Incense Cedar. This trap caught a ♂ with 15 mm. Ticks (12) but this Cerronymys was probably boylii.
