Sierra Red-breasted Sapsucker Chipmunk May 30 Cedar Grove, S Fork Kings R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif. Set 22 traps across highway from ranger station at Cedar Grove, around base of mt. 2 of traps were sprung with bait gone. None had caught any ani- mals. Checked the Robin's nest across the bridge from the ranger's station. She eggs had hatched and three little down covered young with wide-open yellow mouths were in the nest - laying on top of each other i.e. with heads resting on each other backs - the 3 forming a sort of triangle.
