Crowley 1948 Journal May 27 Cedar Grove & Fork King's R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif. Left some trapline set in Zinnialet Meadow: Twelve in west end of meadow about rosebushes, four about the rock at the east end of the meadows, and eleven between in the willow thicket. Plus one rat trap set in the willow thicket. Caught one Peromyscus boylii (?) in the willow thicket, 15 feet from the status and open meadow. The animal was caught under the large roots and branches of willows. It was lying half in the water. We picked up our traps and planned to set nearer camp. Mr. Dixon shot four birds - Song Sparrow, Western Flycatcher, Redwing Blackbird and Purple Finch. Marie caught one Song Sparrow on her traps. We returned to camp at lunchtime and prepared our specimens afternoon. After dinner, Marie and I set 23 Museum Special Mouse Traps on the south facing slope of the canyon just across from camp. May 28 Cedar Grove & Fork King's R., 4600 ft., Fresno Co., Calif. Set 23 Museum Special Mouse traps just north of camp, across the road from the ranger's cabin. Nothing caught in any of the traps. Mr Dixon set about 100 yards above us on the mountainside and caught a Peromyscus sp.? After breaks
