May 18 Queen Gilch State Park, Mendocino Co, Calif.
Elevation 40 feet. 1/2 mile west of ocean on road leading east through canyon,
20 feet from creek. One individual
trapped at margin of Thimbleberry thicket.
May 19 1/2 mile cast of ocean Queen Gilch State Park, Men-
docino Co, Calif. 2 individuals trapped
at margin of thimbleberry thicket to be
north red alder trees, at side of road,
20-35 yards from creek.
May 20 1/4 mile east of ocean Queen Gilch State Park Mendocino Co,
Calif. elevation 40 ft. 1 Sorex vagrans trapped
cast of our camp in riparian habitat
May 25 1/2 mile east of camp, Queen Gilch State Park,
Mendocino Co., Calif. Elevation 75 ft. 1 spcimen
found in trap set near fallen redwood in redwood
grove, 20 ft from creek.
May 26 200 ft elev. southwest corner of Park on grassy slope
above bridge, at margin of blackberry thicket, 1 Sorex
found in trap.
May 28 45 ft elev., just west of camp along margins of
blackberry, thimbleberry thicket near creek, 1/2 found
June 1 200 ft elev. atop north slope canyon in pre barren,
1 caught - 3 traps set. 1 other animal -
Peromyscus monaculus caught also.
