Elevation 40 feet. 4 mile east of ocean on road leading east through canyon. 6 specimens trapped in area just on north bank of creek at border of grass- land and bushes - elderberry, thimble- berry (x). 6 out of 23 traps (from which we also got 1 shrew and 1 Zapus). May 20 1 mile east of ocean Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino Co, Calif 35 Peromyscus caught west of complex riparian habitat - 3 out of 22 traps set, of which 10 had catches May 21 1/2 mile east of ocean Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino Co, Calif. 11 of Peromyscus found in 27 occupied traps of 51 set. 2 Peromyscus discarded due to injury.
