& along American River Canyon road S thereof, to
Wabena Cr., Sunflower Hill, Robertson Flat, &
North Grove of Big Trees (Placer Co.); return.
(expedition to see the northernmost grove of Sequoia
gigantea) (a long, rugged trip by very bumpy and/or
dusty dirt road).

with stops at 6500 ft. (2 1/2 mi. W, 3 1/4 mi. S. Donner
Pass) and 6300' ft. (2 1/2 mi. W, 3 1/2 mi. S Donner Pass);
Onion Creek Canyon near the Am. R. C. Road.
