1117 - young has disappeared downslope into
memulas, still calling.
1119 1/2 - observers move 15ft closer.
1119 3/4 - ad. scold briefly
1120 - ad. flew from near young & onto bare ground
by edge of alders above memulas. Then
up on wood deleris & into alders
1121 - young now calling from within dense alders
1123 - ad - hopping among dense sedges & then onto
open ground by telephone pole. Chased
flying insect 15ft. downslope, but it
dropped into water of pool & bird ignored
it.
1125 - ad - hopping on slope by memulas & apparently
on into alders near young, which is still calling
near,
1126 1/2 - ad - flew to top of tallest alders of thicket
1127 3/4 - " " away over thicket to SE, 100+ft. away
1130 - " flew back over top of alders, dropped
quickly into gap of alder canopy near
young which soon gave speckled up food calls
as if it being fed
1131 - ad. flew SE again over top of alders.
1135 - ad. flew NW into lower branches of pine across
stream, 70ft. E of young.
1135 3/4 - ad. flew into alders close to young
hopped thru branches to it.
1137 - ad. away to SE again, but near pines
1139 - observations ended.
