1052 1/2 - adult flew to far alder thicket 130 ft N.
1053 - young now quiet - had been calling steadily until now.
1056 - observers moved to open area by telephone pole, 30 ft. S of young, which is now seen to be on rock in pool 8 miles from bank, low alders.
1057 1/2 - young giving food call again, softly now
1059 - it calls somewhat louder now, every 3/4 sec. or so.
1101 3/4 - chipmunk ran across gravelly flat 30 ft W of young bird.
1103 - young gave speeded up calls & faced toward Hudson warbler which came near.
1106 - calls of young slowing down again.
1108 - call of adult heard behind us, 50+ ft. from young.
1110 - I moved young from rock to open, small rock near alder just E of pool.
1112 - ad. flew from trees 30 S of young & soon to lower branches of dense alders 15 ft. E of it.
1114 1/4 - ad. flew to ground by mimulus bed 6+ ft. from young.
1115 - young hopped along ground, chirping ceased for a few sec. (receiving food)
1115 1/4 - ad. flew away from young & down near base of alders to E.
1116 1/2 - ad. flew closer to young, then away again
