Cogswell 1950 Tyrannus verticalis June 25 near Truckee River, 2 mi. E Reno, Washoe Co., Nev. - 2 foraging from wires & from cottonwood trees along road & around a farmhouse. Apparently a nesting pair. June 27 Pleasant Valley, 12 mi. S Reno - 1 on wires by roadside in cultivated valley. Trees nearby are Fremont cottonwoods & Lombardy poplars. July 12 1 seen in the same area. July 26 2 " near " " , but in the next (= Steamboat) Valley to the north. Aug. 5 E end of Reno, 4500+ ft., Washoe Co., Nev. - 2 seen on roadside wires in farm country with many Fremont cottonwoods along fences, etc. [Aug. 23] near Steamboat Valley, Washoe Co., Nev. - 1 reported to me by Miss Dorothy Broner, who is familiar with the sp. & experienced bird watcher.
