S Donner Pass, Placer Co., Calif - 1 im- mature (white-throated) male seen in border of dense firs & pines near Mary Lake. July 26 Nevada Creek Camp, 6600 ft., Washoe Co., Nev.: 1 ♂ in Jeffrey pine amid fairly dense stand of same + many white firs, + black cottonwoods. Aug. 6 N side Lake Tahoe, Eldorado Co., Calif - 1 ♂ flew across road & alighted on bole of Jeffrey pine in edge of dense forest. Aug. 11 7100 ft.; 1/3 mi. S Donner Pass - 1 ♂ (ad. ?) seen in same area as on July 14 Aug. 17 near Sugar Bowl Lodge, 7000 ft., 1.2 mi.
