10:55 - Moved to lower perch on same shrub to avoid another bird (not hummer). Returned to perch immediately. Facing west - keeps turning head. Seems to face into the wind. 11:00 Stretching, scratching self with left foot. Repeat. Flew up in air about 6 ft. 11:01 Returned to perch #1 (was at #2). Up in air and back again. Flashing copper from throat. Left perch - returned. 11:02 To columbine about 50 yds. away. Return to col. about 20 ft. from perch #1. Feeding - probing - 6-5-6-4-5. Back to perch #1. 11:04 Feeding, col. 20 ft. away. Feet hanging slightly - not retracted. 11:07 Chasing hummer. Back to perch #2. Feeding, col. — 5-5-5-5 - partly perched. 11:08 To Perch #1 facing south. 11:11 - To pinetree, perching. 11:14 - TO Perch #2.
