Cogswell 1950 Columba fasciata July 19 - Emigrant Gap, 5300 ft, Glacier Co., Calif. 2 flew over U.S. Route 40 in a forest of black oak, yellow pine, & white fir. Aug. 18 3 on nearby N. facing slope which has many manzaneta - ceanothus - cherry thickets and a few oaks. The pigeons perched in top of tall pine facing the chaparral; 2 dropped down into the shrubs. Onion G. Canyon Aug. 22, 6000 ft., 3 1/2 mi. S L. Van Norden, Glacier Co. Calif. - 3 flew over yellow pine, white fir, black oak forest with many chaparral patches. They were all headed
