Cogswell 1950 Sterna forsteri [June 29] Little Washoe L., 5030 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. - 1+ white tern (probably this sp.) seen here by R. D. Hays of the Audubon Camp staff. July 26 6, resting on dike thru middle of lake or (2) flying & diving for fish. Some were with full black caps, others showed some whitish on the head. Aug. 6 N. end Washoe L., 5010 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. - 1+ flying about over muddy, wind ruffled pond in the marshes (mostly dry) NW of lake. Aug. 9 Little Washoe L. [see above] - 1, only present - fishing actively Aug. 23 3 on hand, 1 still with full black cap.
