Aug. 6 N. of Washoe Lake, 5010 ft., Washoe Co., Nev.—flock
of about 15 (all definitely this sp.) foraging
along edges & into water of a several
acre muddy pond, which is about all
that is left of the marshes NW of the
lake.
[no records (by me) this year on any of
our 5 trips to Little Washoe L., where
up to 20 were found at a time in July
& Aug., 1948].
