Cogswell 1950 Aythya affinis June 27 - Little Washoe Lake, 5020 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. - at least 2 [illegible] were on open part of 30 acre lake - did not fly with other ducks when we got out of our cars. Perhaps they are wounded or sub-standard individuals. A few brown ducks far off across the lake may have been 4 geese. Latest record for this species here in 1948 was June 16, when 2 were seen.
