Cogswell 1950 Mareca americana July 26 Little Washoe L., 5020 ft. Washoe Co. Nev. - 5, flying close together, seen well among the several hundred ducks present. There were two ??, ?? plumaged birds. They settled into marshes at S end of lake. I thought I glimpsed some of this sp. among ducks here on June 27 but was not sure of them. These 5 I am; they are perhaps best considered as stragglers until evidence of breeding is uncovered.
