1948 Cervus nannodes Dec. 21 (cont'd) seem to be existing, at least in a major way, more or less naturally even though inside a fence. The preserve is large enough (about 2 sq. mi. according to Auto Club of So. Calif. map of Kern Co.) to make their chance of survival here seem likely for some time provided no reduction in fertility occurs. (1950) Apr. 5 - see journal (no stop - but drove by & saw a few)
