Cogswell 1948 Euphagus cyanoccephalus 1. Nov. 21 - U.S.R.S. Ranger Station, Upper Lake, Sakeo, Calif. (see note under: Aglaisius phoenix) 1949 Apr. 24 - Arrow moth, 4 mi. ± SE Livermore, Alameda Co. Calif. Several pair here in sycamore - willow - Bauheris - grass of open "wash." one nest was shown to me, in a willow tree, situated about 12 feet from the ground on an easily climbed branch. It was a large, well made nest, lined with dead grasses, and contained 3 light bluish green eggs abundantly speckled & blotched with reddish brown. [No conifers within sight at this point].
