Cogswell 1948 1. Agelaius tricolor Dec. 20 - 5 mi. N. Dos Palos, Merced Co., Calif. [See note in journal regarding flight maneuvers of flock]. Dec. 21 - Carpan Rd., N. (about 1 mi.) of W. end of Laguna Mugu; Ventura Co., Calif. - at least 1 ♂ in flock of A. phoeniceus. Dec. 30 - 2 mi. SSW. of San Luis Obispo, S.L.O. Co., Calif. - at least 5 adult ♂s on wires & in fields with flock of A. phoeniceus & C. cyanocephalus near Laguna School. 1 of them was "singing" some- what weakly [the usual "braying"], as were several of the Com. Red. wings.
