Cogswell 1948 Regulus satrapa Nov. 13 - Jewell L. Tilden Regional Park, Contra Costa Co., NE of Berkeley, Calif. I saw and another heard at same time in live oaks (Q. agrifolia) along bridle trail SW of lake. They call frequently and one came to my squeak so that I had a good view of its yellow crown & black & white stripes on side of head. They paid no attention to dozens of oak moths fluttering all around them. 1949 Mar. 5 - 3/4 mi. E. of Spruce St. entrance, Tilden Regional Park, Contra Costa Co., Calif. heard single and 3-4 noted "see-see-see" calls of this sp. from among oaks just E. of main part of Wildcat Canyon.
