Richmond, alameda & Contra Costa cos., Calif. 11:30-12:30 - I made the following count of water birds in the area from just N.of base of St. Isabel (but not going off main highway, so :. missing some birds well out on the sides of the peninsula) S. to Fleming Dt. (N. end of Golden Gate Fields Race track). The tide was going out rapidly & in fact the great mass of birds toward the end were too far away to identify as to species, hence the ?? on the nos. of some.
