Cogswell 1949 Megacerule aliyon Jan.30 Bolinas Bay Marin Co., Calif.- 5 counted in driving from Stinson Beach N. along the east shore of bay, all of them were perched on the telephone cable line which runs along over the water near the shore. one of them was seen with a fish, apparently as long as its bill, which it dropped in attempting to swallow it. The bird then dove into the water a few feet from where the fish hit — but came up with nothing.
