June 26 - Lagoon just (1/3 - 7/3 mi.) S. mouth of Salinas River,
Monterey Co., Calif. A breeding colony non-total of
about 100 adults here. The lagoon is
bordered on the N & NE by sparse, low Salic
icornia flats in which Forster's Terns are
nesting - where the Avocets probably did.
