Nov. 13 Jewel Lake & vicinity Tilden Regional Park
Berkeley, Contra Costa, Alameda Co., Calif.
3:10-3:35 P.M.- I walked down the bridle
trail on W. of Wildcat Creek from gate about
1/8 mi. S. of lake to lake - around to N. end of
lake (at dam). return. I did not see the Hooded
Mergansers reported there recently by
several members of the local Audubon Society.
The trees and shrubs along the trail proved
to be rich in bird life, however - seemed
to be more so than any place I have
yet been in the Berkeley Hills. The
following species were recorded:
Steller's Jay-1
Scrub Jay-5+
Bush-tit- heard
Wren-tit- 5+ heard
Robin- 1+

* Myrtle Warbler-3
