Oct. 24 San Pablo Reservoir, 300+ ft., Contra Costa Co., Calif.
about 250 estimated in scattered flock,
with a few teal & pintails, feeding in shallow
end of lake m mid PM. Males were pretty
well along toward bright plumage.
No baldpates were seen among large
flocks resting on N.E. shore, but some
may have been there.

Feb. 5- Victoria Isl., western San Joaquin Co., Calif:
a number scattered among large flock
of pintails on open fields. — the only
baldpates seen all day on trip from here
to Stockton, Sacraments, Woodland, & Marysville.
