Oct. 26 - Near L.S.B., University of California, Berkeley, Calif.
07:50 - I flew in from N and alighted, somewhat gingerly, on topmost boughs of eucalyptus tree in the traffic circle in University Drive between West Entrance and the Life Sciences Bldy. It remained there while many students passed along street below; but was gone by the time I looked again from within its M.V.3. (about 08:00)

Jan. 29 - Bay Farm Id., Alameda, Oakland, Alameda Co., Calif.
at least 3 egrets seen today were noticeably lengthening nuptial plumes.
Mar. 13 - Albany, Alameda Co., Calif. + adjacent Richmond of 3 birds on mud flats N. of Golden Gate Fields Race Track; one had very long nuptial plumes which were obviously worn at the tips.
