Cogswell 1949 Suffenus creatopus July 20 - ocean, 4-8 mi. W. of Pt. Pinos, Monterey Co., slightly S. Calf.: About 8 shearwaters of this species seen, well distributed over this stretch of water which we covered between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. They were seen singly, except for 2... One came flying on the water. within about 50 feet of the stern of the boat but did not stop. It af- forded us a good view of its pink feet at this range. [On our return, somewhere in this same area, saidlaw Williams saw 3 of this species flying together]. July 26 - N. side of Pt.
