Cogswell 1950 Journal 6 Feb.5 Terminus, to 2 mi. E., then S to "whites slough" W. along levee along it + return N to Terminus. This route encompassed the same area as I covered with my family 2 weeks ago. No Swans in the abandoned barnyard where noted them; but about 200 were in fields to the SE, and the cranes were there also — at least 150+ of them. Had even a closer view this time than on Jan. 22. Several groups flew almost over us. Other species noted much the same as 2 weeks ago. no further field notes until Feb. 12-13 when we moved to southern Calif.
