The Ella Hut area was noteworthy for it was just high enough for ponderosa pine (many had two needles/leaves!) with a good brush understory of manzanita and/or gambel oak - may differ from the Clark Co. forests. Riles was particularly abundant in some places. The Rocky Mt. influence is particularly strong in this area.
