We left camp at 5:40 a.m. & travelled on highway 50 to Fallon, then 40 to Berkeley & arrived at 5:30 p.m. Along highway from Sacramento Pass to & across Spring Valley we saw groups of ravens, up to a dozen feeding on D.D.R. jackrabbits. Saw Brewer Blackbirds and Yellow-headed Blackbirds in wet meadow adjacent to highway at crossing of " River" west of Austin, Lander Co., Nev.
