Red Bluff Area, Tehama Co.
I am impressed by the extensive oak groves fanning out from Red Bluff - they are large trees and of course denser near the river and more sparse toward the Eastern escarpment which is very obvious. The region is most noticeable from about Redfields on to R.B. and E. to hills.
At 7:15 p.m. after a meal (1.30) I went to the Herbert Kraft Public library and talked to the librarians - one was just a waiter and then Mrs. Craddick (well preserved & gracious woman in 40's + + ?; no rings) she was most helpful in giving me leads for local investigations.
There is a museum in the basement of this building - run by Nattie Daughters or some one - there is a collection of photographs. Tomorrow I will stay & see the county library & historian in the Co. courthouse.
back at motel at 9:15 p.m.
