Mother Lode Trip some large manzanita; yerba santa in the grasses 326.9 brushy hills to the north - 327 wood grassy - parkland, more brush to the N. much Cercocarpus. More chamise. Most of the parkland oaks are deciduous. 328.2 *104 to done (off of *16) more fieldstones (they are dark colored) up a small hill. Small even aged islands of deciduous oaks. Hill of green stone - serpentine ? brushland of chamise, yerba santa, Photinia, manzanita. There are patches areas of grass in brush fields here. They entire area is deeply rolling frax hills. 330 down hill - woodland - grassy areas. Yerba Santa is invading the grassy areas - once again, especially on the edges of the brush fields. more brush patches. The P. Sabiniana in this area have been girdled into woodland - many dead ones - many axes down & across a creek - bridge. This area is woodland-brush which is being managed into grassland. 331 small groves of dense oaks - all spi! parkland - some brush. More brush land & tree cutting. Brush and sprouting important here.
