Bushman 1959 231 Journal 29 Nov. Mother Lode Trip 253. at last I found the granite fence posts that I've been looking for! They extend on both side of the road for several hundred yards. The ranch is several hundred yards from (N) of the intersection of: Huburn-Folsom Road (on this one) Brennans Road King-Loomis Road The headquarters seem to be a new ranch house west of the road - across a small creek. They have paralleled the old fence with a newer "satin cedar" post- board one - so typical of horse ranches. There was no name on the post here. The granite posts were 6-8 inches square, and averaged 3 or 4 feet tall with several close to 5 or 6 above the ground. The west side of road gramp had three strands of barbed wire; those on the east had one section (3 feet) of bag fencing. The west - with new wood fence had behind it -- an irrigated horse pasture. The un-parallel eastern section was hilly- rocky, weedy, with live oaks and an old orchard. NT 2-9 > took a series of photographs - close ups and distant views I was curious as to who built this fence & went to the ranch - the only person
