The forest is in all state of recovery from everything it appears ! There are few mature trees. 194.6 Georgetown now on correct turn off, to Placerville! More extensive areas of broom. There is more Q. Kelagii here. 197.0 open grassland - meadows like in shallow valley- many lamhardi populus hayrads. brush fields and pandurasa forest extensive clearing going on . 199.0 red soil & pines-grass! 201.2 extensive marganta patches, also cercacpus, spotty pandurasa and many Q. Kelagii - some are huge and others in grass. evidence of a former fire and once a pine forest. 203.0 Kelsey 1920' 204 Starting down a steep grade - the step south facing slope here is covered with pure stands of chanwise and others the not as extensive - marganta. Photinia is mixed into it in a minor way.
