Mother Lode Trip a new larger green manzanita and Photinia a (the former is almost the same color as the latter) 82.9 up a hill = Woodland with a minor amount of Chamise -- the first I have seen thus far on this trip. 83.6 down a hill = open areas, parkland and minor brush. 84.6 Chili Gulch more manzanita, grassy areas - an aspect of dry woodland, mainly live oaks - [illegible] afew ponderosa up a hill woodland -- old fig trees! N5 12- 86.7 Mokelumne Hill elv. 1400 +' photographed in cemetery; to E & hills to N, plus grave stones. 3: P.M. Hills to the N & NE with Ponderosa, woodland & grasslands. fair amount of ponderosa on the road side going down a hill and side of turn -- also O. kelloggii. The opposite hillside (S. exposure) is woodland and P. saliniana. 90.6 Amador Co. line at the Mokelumne R. up hill through a lateral canyon which is rather lush with dense riparian - almes? and many more Q kelloggii & ponderosa.
