They could give me little information, except
some of the later ones at Sanora & up about
Grain Flat - gave me Sanara District, Stanislaus
Nat'l. Forest map 1952,
also stopped at the courthouse & talked to
people in the museum. They referred me to

P. salicina, Q. kelloggii Cercocarpus & few
grassy areas with minor bush (" )

1/2 P. sal. after Panderosa, some Libocedrus
with manzanita patches.
on into Columbia where I photographed
about town & in the Courtery
Changed to a new roll of film.
There are many cottonwoods, lombardi
poplars, and willows about the area -
they are particularly noticeable due to their
bright coloration.
