Point Lobos S.P., Monterey Co.
This day Allen Jakbin & I drove to Carmel
in the morning (on road 7:30-10 1/2). After several hours
of loafing about this strange community, we
went to Point Lobos State Park - 12 to 5 pm. Jag came
early. Watched birds on Bird Island and Gibson Beach.
The former is a large colony of pelicans, frigate birds,
cormorants - few gulls including Kleesman's Duck
2 spectacleds were seen, a dozen Black Lummstones
a group of 10+ sandpipers.
