A parkland to the S. approaching foothills to the E.; open to the coast & part east; although lots of oak to the west where it blends into foothill a few shrubs 61 rocks in fields. Cement (?) works Lincolnm = oaks & cottonwoods Gladding - Mc Bean = Clay products 64 Auburn ravine riparian close to the hills 65 rolling Harris plain oaks 1 mi. to the E. 66 fields of stones again. Small cottonwood groves & sheep. 67 small pine growing at RR-siding Many oaks to the East in a line with the Arcab in topography. Riparian parkland to west 3 or 5 miles. 69 small Creek riparian 71 dense riparian to S. & W. 72 into parkland - like all of the parkland in the valley brush is not present. 73 Roseville 75 S of town house, lush riparian 3:30 and on to Hwy # 40 west into Sacramento PM. stopped by Kozuls = left at 7:30; home at 9:30. From Roseville into Sacramento the area is an open parkland with a great amount of variation in density.
