Christmas 1959 Journal 185 2 Apr Bangor, Butte Co., Calif. small area of citrus mostly woodland 56,804 onto Wyland Mines Rd Small ranches, many pastures Oro Bangor Rd 812 Bangor = gas elev. 754 ft. all of this area has been woodland of varying density - no brush field & dotted with Pinus sabiniana. One landerace in the town. The old man at the one pump station is from S.F. & Berkeley La Parte Rd 14 old ranch with Eucalyptus & palm, more olives. Man made parkland -6 > 815 photo of pasture & #6 stumps of cab curveway law -7 > 16 #7 parkland-stones, blue oak 3-8 > 17 #8 cattle in pasture 9 a pair of mallards were in sedge area in swale - open water. An acre of large rolling pastures surrounded by open woodland. 819 stream; parkland & willow riparian no brush here level parkland to the west 821 in valley & open grain fields. Riparian oaks & patches of parkland Woodland is many small trees - mainly in hilly areas. parkland larger oaks in flats all this area has a bright red soil
