(2,800') some siberian spruce in this forest tho not much 536.4 on to #99 at Weed gased up The old fire area between Black Butte and the N. part of town of Mt. Shasta is a good example - dead pines sticking up above the gray brush - not very much marganita - cerascarpus - ? The pines will not reproduce themselves here. This is an easy pass from Shasta valley past the Butte & into the Sacraments drainage. But I wander about the original veg. was it all transition
