Journal 27 rides, two gretals and about 7 phalaropes (5g 28'). From the center of the Gasline Ride Triangle I went W and then along the gas line and the E shore of Votta Slough. Along the Gasline Ride parallel to the gasline were three parasitic jaegers, Also one Golden Plover, 1 Redback there. Along Votta Slough one 2 Turnstone ad 1 Semipal. One the slough a pair of King Eiders and a pair of Phalaropes. Went back thru the Drum Area. Got home 17:45. Made a short trip - the evening between 20:30 and 22:00 to the Drum Area. Found two more Semipal nests there, (like this afternoon ad one this evening). Slowly I am picking them all. 1 July Foggy day with some sunshine. In the morning the three of us went to Wohlschlag Slough. We stopped at trapline X & XI so Tom could check his traps. Steve and I collected some feeding observations and we each found a Golden Plover nest. It seemed that Peetrals were not as common as yesterday. The area between Wohlschlag & Ukepik Slough was disappointing in term of birds. Most of the activity was along the S Shore of Wohlschlag Slough, where I saw a pair of Turnstones, 1 Baird, a flock of 8 Phalaropes, 2 Redbacks and a pair of Old squaws. On the Tundra itself there were only 4 phalaropes. We also saw a Redfox there (left front jaw missing) and a little fox in a den. This is the same adult who had her den at central marsh.
