A.M.Verbeek 1966 Plectrophenax nivalis (2) 4 July One pair of Snow Buntings gathered Chironomus larvae in their spog along a small pond. The pupae were hatching and the emerging adults were being washed ashore. 7 July Saw two fledgling snow buntings in the Drum Area. They were quite able to fly but were still being fed. 10 July Saw one juvenile on the Pont, near the two smoke chuges. There were several adults. 11 July A male Snow Bunting persistently chased a female Longspur over a distance of 20 m. 21 Aug. The Snow Buntings are presently confined to the Drum Area and to the Buildings.
