Verbeek 1966 Branta nigricans 11 June Over Elson lagoon Steve and I saw a group of seven brids, and later on three more. 13 June Three brids flew over the south end of Honey Bucket 24 June A flock of 5 brids flew across Wohlschlag Slough at 06:05. A flock of 11 brids over the Drain Area. They prepared to settle on the fresh water lake but they flew on. 5 July Three brids over South Salt lagoon 15 Aug Eight brids on Ikpuk Slough. 26 Aug One bird, possibly wing shot on Elson Lagoon. 30 Aug Four birds flying over Imikpuk. Branta nigricans is Branta bernicla (Brant) per AOU 1998
