A M Verbeek 1966 Gavia arctica 11 June At about 23:30 two bird came flying along the W shore heading N.E. 16 June There were two birds on Voth Slough and later on I saw an other one in the same place (close to Honey Bucket Lagoon) Saw a pair on a pond below Wohlschlag Slough 10 July Saw about 4 birds on our trip to the lagoon and the Point b-day. 27 July At Meade River, I noticed several birds, most of them in pairs on small lakes. I have seen no adults with chicks at all. 22 Aug. At Meade River, Paul and I saw one adult and one juvenile (3/4 the adult in size) on a lake S. of camp. This is the only young I have seen this summer. 24 Aug Back at Barrow, there were two birds on Voth Slough
