Chatting 1941 Itinerary Jan 10 5 mi. NW Borrego P.O., 700 ft. San Diego Co., Calif. by moonlight at 9:30 pm and 10 Dipodomys merriami were taken. Jan. 11 a.m.. Traps were picked up and 6 more Dipodomys merriami were taken. Six p.m. 70 mouse traps and 5 rat traps were set out on rocky hillside. Creosote bush Encelia and Granularia compose bulk of vegetation growing among rocks. 8 gopher sets were made along the base of the hills in fresh workings. Jan 12. a.m. Traps were picked up. Catch consisted of 7 Thomomys, 1 Neotoma lepida, 1 Perognathus penicillatus and 4 Peromyscus (2 crinitis taken in rocks). Six p.m.. 50 traps were set out at 1/2 mi NE Borrego P.O., 500 ft. San Diego Co., Calif. in and around thickets of mesquite. Jan 13. a.m. Traps were picked up. 2 Neotoma albivola, 2 Perognathus penicillatus, 2 Peromyscus maniculatus and 2 Dipodomys merriami . Catch was obtained during day and in p.m. 70 mouse traps and 6 rat traps were set out in mesquite thickets on slightly drier ground than last night. Jan 14 a.m. Trap line was picked up. Catch consisted of 15 Perognathus penicillatus, 10 Dipodomys
